Black White Swan

Black White Swan portrays the sequenced subject of decoy flare smoke, which is expelled by a U.S. AC130 army plane as a form of defense when under fire by the enemy.  I took snap shots of a video I was inspired by on Youtube, which showed the flare dropping process from start to finish over the ocean. The Bomber paintings are ominous at their core, but are also strangely soft, with flare smoke patterns that appear like doves, angels and crosses, suggesting that peace meets war in the air above the ocean.
